Nomazama Nala, better known as Dr. Zaza was born and raised in Nquthu, KwaZulu-Natal, and has joined other big companies and international brands, and celebrities on The Metaverse. The South African doctor joins other local personalities such as DJ Sbu, Boity Thulo, and hip hop legend, rapper and owner of Death Row Records, Snoop Dogg.
Nomazama Nala, better known as Dr. Zaza went on to become a renowned and trusted expert in the field of mental health, publishing her first book in 2021 which is aimed to provide insightful analysis and study on mental health.
In June 2011, Dr. Zaza took a job at an Afrikaner-dominated mental health center, where she was the only black woman working there and the first-ever black person to be employed by the rehabilitation center. She took care of various roles and duties with pride and enthusiasm, and that caught the attention of visiting family members, other doctors, and the patients.
Almost 10 years later, in 2022, Dr. Zaza is now The Official Ambassador of Health and Wellness in South Africa—and she has recently launched her book about mental health issues. And on Friday evening, she told us that she is finally getting on the Metaverse to grow her brand, market her debutant book and connect with the right people using the internet of things.
Dr. Zaza shared that she is "excited to join media personalities like DJ Sbu, Snoop Dogg, and Boity Thulo on the metaverse" because she would like to "take her personal brand more seriously and grow her brand using today's technologies and digital platforms."
She also noted that: She is one of the only few South African doctors to join the Metaverse in 2022 and she is excited about marketing her new book on the Metaverse and in the real world.
In her new book, Health & Wellness – an Innovative Study about Mental Health, Dr. Zaza discusses mental health as no other book has ever explained to us, and her book dives into subjects such as addiction, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder.
However, she goes beyond providing usual treatment methods like psychotherapy or medication by exploring long-held beliefs about these topics that can help readers treat issues themselves. She provides a rare look into how the mind works to facilitate self-healing.
On Friday evening, a reliable source contacted me after my interview with Dr. Zaza on WhatsApp, and the source revealed that Dr. Zaza will be live on-air on a radio station next week and she will be sharing "never heard before methods" to help anyone overcome common mental health issues and also announce her brand new and exciting project that will help change the way everything works.
As a psychiatrist and business consultant, Dr. Zaza has always been interested in helping people cope with their mental health issues. Her new book and podcast are dedicated to this topic.
